How to Measure

The table below will assist you in selecting a cap size that best fits you when ordering a custom made lace front or lace closure wig.

You do not have to be a professional to do this, just make sure you have a writing tool and notepad to jot down your measurements as you measure your head. You got this!
Please note that when ordering Custom Lace Wigs please make note that you will receive a cap size based on the exact head measurements that you provide us with.

Before taking head measurements your hair should be prepared exactly how you would want it to be when your wig is applied. Before you begin taking your measurements, be sure to have your hair lying flat, braided, or pinned up. You can take measurements with or without a wig cap on.

Use a soft tape measure when taking the specific measurements in the diagram below, placing the measuring tape outside of your hairline (since Lace Wigs are applied outside of the hairline). Be sure to measure at a minimum of 2 times to get the most accurate measurements.

1) Circumference:
Place the tape flat against your forehead at your hairline and wrap around your head. The tape should rest behind your ears and also sit on the nape of your neck.

2) Front to nape:
Place the tape measure about a 1/2 inch in front of your hairline and measure back to the nape of your neck going over the crown of your head.

3) Ear to ear across forehead:
Place tape just in front of your ear at your hairline at sideburns, and measure to your opposite side-burn bringing the tape across your front hairline.

4) Ear to ear over top of head:
Place tape at your hairline at the top of your ears and measure over the top of your head over to your opposite ear.

5) Temple to temple around back of head:
Place the tape measure at your hairline from your temple going around the back of your head to the opposite temple.

6) Nape of neck:
Measure the width of your hairline across the nape of the neck
